    I understand your answer – just not why

    The ‘why’ is that it is the field (EVEN:TYPE) that is either translatable or not translatable, not a brief selection of the infinite range of possible entries that field can contain. I cannot isolate a few possible entries and translate them. We either translate the field and whatever it contains, or we don’t.

    “Sealing” is a child / parent relationship for Mormon’s (the people who created GEDCOM) and RADA is (as I recall) an Arabic relationship.
